Weekly Winners (Mar. 28 – Apr. 3)

This week, I had over 50 photos to try to bring down into a top 9 (which is my maximum photos each week I allow myself for this project). For other Weekly Winners outside of my 9 photos, go see all the participants listed at our hostesses site: I am lotus.

Texas Wildflowers
Spring in Texas means Bluebonnets and Indian Paintbrushes

Muster

"Sully"
The statue of Lawrence Sullivan "Sully" Ross stands in front of the Academic Building on the Texas A&M University campus. When students have a test, they'll place a penny at Sully's feet for luck.

New Building on Campus
This building did not exist when I was a student at Texas A&M. I think the architecture is fascinating, and I loved how the shadows fell the afternoon I was poking around campus.

Albritton Tower
Albritton Tower on the Texas A&M campus. I had my bridal portrait taken under this bell tower.

Love

Grandma Bunny
My grandma gave me this rabbit figurine. She holds two baskets to put candy in at Easter. I treasure this figurine so much!

Happy Easter
Wishing you a Happy Easter!!

  1. Love the shot of ‘Sully’s’ feet. I see some silver coins there. A few students must need a lot of extra testing luck.

    The flag shot is gorgeous!

    1. I’ve never photographed Bluebonnets before this year… and wouldn’t you know that day I couldn’t find any! Now they are everywhere! They’re gorgeous! Thanks so much!!!!

    1. Thanks so much!

haha! If I didn’t limit myself, some weeks, this would go overboard. I could have easily added at least 4 more photos this week, but I kinda like the added challenge of having a ceiling. (Fwiw — It was originally 6 images, but I changed it to 9 a couple weeks ago. hehehe)

    1. Thank you! It was SO WINDY that day! I had a hard time getting ANY shots in focus. LOL! But I’m really happy with how that one came out.

    1. Ahhh… Aggieland. Thank you!! I had to convene and let it revive my soul. (I’m only exaggerating a little. It really does always give me a boost to go back and relive those days.) I had a blast poking around for awhile. I’d love to some day just take a whole day on foot meandering campus taking pictures. Wish I’d taken more pics when I was there! I forget… the campus really does have a beauty to it that I didn’t appreciate enough back in the day.

    1. Thanks so much! I think the shadows one is one of my all-time faves I’ve taken… it was a really cool “discovery.” Thanks again!
