Weekly Winners (June 6 – 12)

Comments should be fixed now! My blog has a new address (though the old one still works) and we had a few hiccups. Still looking out for others… let me know if you stumble upon any. :)

For more Weekly Winners, visit Lotus. You know the drill.

Shocktop
Having my favorite beer -- Shocktop -- at Buffalo Wild Wings!*

Reflected neon
Reflected neon... I just thought it was cool that you could read the sign in the water reflection, but it blurred out photographed directly. *

Statue at church
Statue outside of church. I took a photo of the stained glass last week. So I got this statue this week!*

Gerber Daisy
Yellow Gerber Daisy. This photo amuses me, because the right is shadowed a little by my hand. However, it looks worse than it was because the flower actually is darker on that one side!

Gerber Daisies
Gerber Daisies. I always get flowers for my front steps each year. This year, I got Gerber Daisies. I have yellow, red and orange!

Bright color
These flowers were actually the first ones I photographed last year when I got my camera. Only, those were pink! This year, only ONE bloomed and they are a brilliant shade of orange!

Bright colors
Such stunning color!

Milk jug
Milk jug in my backyard. I like photographing it. I attempted to age this photo a little. Didn't work as well as I hoped, but I still like the outcome.

Sully
This is probably my favorite photo I've taken in a long time. Love my Sully!

♥ ♥ ♥

All photos taken using a Nikon Coolpix L20.
(except those with * — those taken with my cell phone, HTC Droid Incredible)

All of my photos available on my Flickr stream.

  1. i love the pictures of the flowers. your sully looks a lot like my smokey! and we’ve taken similar pictures of them both.

  2. Love the neon shot! And the kitty close-up is amazing. It’s tough to get such clear, close shots of them! Well, mine always try to stick their noses in the camera :)

    1. haha! I have two cats, and the other one HATES the camera. He runs away from it. This one is just trained well over years of photos. He just sat there patiently like, “Oh get this over with already.” hahaha!! Thanks so much!
