Weekly Winners

We had a major snow event this week in Nashville, and of course I had to take lots of pictures of its cold, soft beauty. Between the snow and my Project 365, I bring you more photos than usual.

1-10 Snow
My husband is an Oregon alum, and so the day of the National Championship I not only took pictures of the snow, but I tried to get a photo for him showing off his Ducks gear to root on his team. This was the last shot I took. Totally impromptu. And it is definitely my favorite of them all.

065: Sunshine and snowfall
Used on Nashvillest this week... I actually got down in the snow to get this shot, but the cold on my knees was SO worth the results.

Fire-like Sunset
My husband noticed this sunset while I was on the phone with my Mom. I grabbed my camera, stepped out on the back porch, snapped ONE shot, and immediately it became one of my all-time favorite sunset shots.

  1. Okay, getting down on your knees in the snow WAS worth it…that shot is amazing!! I adore it! The Wine Reflections is wonderful also…I love the whole series.

  2. The ‘snow fall’ shot is gorgeous. The lighting on the snow flakes and the snow lying on the branches is almost surreal.

Good for you ‘shooting low’. You caught a great shot of the snow.

  4. They are all so awesome that I can’t decide on a favorite, but I have to agree the snowfall at night, sunset and wine glass I would say are tops. Oh and those are a great shots of Craig. I love them all!!

  5. The snowfall at night shot is so awesome– how did you get that?! SUPER jealous, I don’t have enough “light” outside in our backyard to capture that I don’t think! All of your shots are awesome though– don’t you LOVE taking winter pics? :)
