#DrinkUpLinkUp — Three Olives Cake Vodka

Saturday is my birthday, so I thought I’d pick Three Olives Cake Vodka as my Thirsty Thursday choice. Unfortunately, I’m fighting allergies like crazy, and I didn’t feel that mixing Benadryl and alcohol would be a smart move.

I did take a sip of it and was delighted with the fact that it truly does taste like cake in a bottle! I added it to a small cup of orange juice, and I was terribly bummed to have to keep it to a small glass. SO yummy!

Cake Vodka

I look for drink recipes on the Three Olives web-site, and I thought I’d share the ones that I plan to try with this bottle.

Coconut Cream Cake
2 oz Three Olives Cake Vodka
2 oz Milk
Splash Coconut Rum

Creamsicle Cake
2 oz Three Olives Cake Vodka
6 oz Orange Juice

Hot Chocolate Cake
2oz Three Olives Cake Vodka
6oz Your Favorite Hot Chocolate

Red Velvet Cake
1-1/2 oz Three Olives Cake Vodka
1/2 oz Chambord
Splash of Cranberry and Pineapple Juice

Any suggestions? Has anyone else tried a cake-flavored vodka?

My Facebook status update got such a positive feedback today, that I felt I’d like to share it here as well… I took as long composing it as I do many of my blog posts!

Here is my one and only political post — because I just NEED to say it. Not everyone who voted for Obama did so because of his race or because they are on welfare. Not everyone who voted for Romney did so because they hate gays and don’t believe women have rights. I dreaded this election for this very reason: The hate and snark being thrown between friends over liberal vs conservative, democrat vs republican. We’re all Americans and I miss being the UNITED States in practice as well as name, and it is my prayer that God will guide us and our leaders over the next four years.
