Six things on Saturday

1. My love for Southwest Airlines was deepened last night when our pilot not only made up the 15 minute delay, but got us there five minutes early for our original arrival. Yes, folks, we made my 20 minutes in the air. (Which means that flight was the length it used to be for years. Flights from Austin to Nashville were 1.5 hours for years, then suddenly started taking 2 hours. No idea why, but I’d love to see it go back to the quicker route.)

2. All the blogs I follow are singing the praises of Feedly with the pending demise of Google Reader. I’ve been using Feedly exclusively for blog reading since Google killed iGoogle. I’ve loved it for months now, and its fun to see others jumping on the bandwagon.

3. I found this t-shirt at the airport in Austin and fell in love with it. However, they didn’t have any in my size. I’ve only been able to find similar shirts online, but not THIS one. Anyone have any ideas?

4. It’s Palm Sunday this weekend, and its kind of one of my favorite weekends in the church. Maybe if I write it here, it’ll happen. I want to go to mass Sunday morning. After working all night Saturday. That’s usually a daunting idea, but I’m going to try. Wish me luck.

5. Blog lovin! I’ve spent a lot of the last week looking for new blogs to read. All of these have big followings already, and you might look at me like, “Where the heck have you been!?” But just in case anyone else is missing out… here are three of my new favorites:

6. I work tonight… and I’m still kinda hating people from the last time I worked two weeks ago. Here’s hoping its a good night with nice people!!

  1. We went to church yesterday, too. :) It was really nice and sorely needed. Going to church just rejuvenates everything. Too bad we haven’t been a big fan of any local churches. :-/

    1. Its like a reboot and just helps clear the mind! At least it does for me.

Totally understand about the churches. Its why I’ve stuck with the same church here in Nashville no matter where we’ve lived. I love it and I’ll make the trip to go no matter how far!
